EOC: Week 10: What Are the Benefits vs the Features?

In accordance with Armstrong & Kotler,“A brand ‘s value proposition is the set of benefits or values it promises to deliver to consumers to satisfy their needs.” (Marketing: An Introduction p.9) This statement is very significant, especially when it comes to marketing a product. Weeping the benefits from purchasing Bangkok Bites may determine if the customer will return and tell others.  Features may not be substantial when it comes to food products. They are mainly sought out after in purchasing cars, electronics, and appliances.  Never the less, “A company might try modifying the product- changing characteristics such as quality, features, style, or packing to attract new users and to inspire more usage. It might improve the product’s quality and performance-its durability, reliability, speed, and taste. (p.263)

Phileas Fogg’s Bangkok Bites is healthy for you because it is made from real chicken breast. It is a great source of protein, but without the carbs. It also provides B vitamins, selenium and other nutrients without the additives. It is fantastic with beer and other spirits at bars and parties.  These benefits draw in customers.

Armstrong and Kotler states “ makers of consumer food and household products introduce new flavors, colors, scents, ingredients, or packages to enhance performance and revitalize consumer buying.” (p.263) Bangkok Bites feature three flavors and comes in three different sizes. Thai, curry, and Thai peanut flavored chicken. These meat base treats offers a wide variety, and makes you yearn for more. We offer the 1.75 oz bag for on the go, for only $0.99, the 3.25 oz bag for those who want a light snack for $1.99, and the party bag, which is 12 ounces to share with friends for a bargain price of $5.99.
